Aims & Scope

Aims

The journal Proteins & Nucleic Acids: Therapeutics and Diagnostics (PNATD) aims to serve as a premier platform dedicated to the publication of high-quality research, reviews, and case studies focused on the therapeutic and diagnostic applications of proteins and nucleic acids. Our mission is to advance the understanding of molecular mechanisms, innovative techniques, and clinical applications that drive the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics in both personal and public health. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope

We welcome original research articles, data reports, comprehensive reviews, and insightful perspectives that cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • 1. Therapeutic Development: Exploration of novel protein and nucleic acid-based therapies, including monoclonal antibodies, peptide drugs, RNA/DNA aptamers, RNA therapeutics, gene editing technologies, and vaccine development.
  • 2. Diagnostic Innovations: Advances in in vitro and in vivo diagnostic tools and technologies, such as biomarkers, biosensors, protein and nucleic acid sequencing, and imaging techniques for early disease detection and monitoring.
  • 3. Molecular Mechanisms: Investigations into the structural biology and molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the function and regulation of proteins and nucleic acids in health and disease.
  • 4. Translational Research: Studies that bridge the gap between basic research and clinical applications, highlighting the translational potential of new discoveries.
  • 5. Technological Advances: Development and application of new technologies in protein and nucleic acid research.
  • 6. Computational Studies: Computational approaches, including bioinformatics, molecular simulations, and artificial intelligence.
  • 7. Clinical Studies: Reports on clinical trials and case studies demonstrating the efficacy and safety of protein and nucleic acid-based diagnostics and therapeutics.
  • 8. Regulatory and Ethical Considerations: Discussions on the regulatory, ethical, and societal implications of emerging therapies and diagnostics.

PNATD encourages the submission of original research articles, review papers, and short communications. Our journal is committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging contributions from researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals worldwide. Through rigorous peer review and high editorial standards, PNATD strives to contribute to the scientific community's efforts to improve patient outcomes and enhance our understanding of health at both the personal and public levels.
