Aims & Scope
The journal Drug Design is a gold open access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish papers in all fields of drug discover, design, pharmaceutiocal sciences, pharmacological aspects of drug design, providing an international and interdisciplinary platform for the latest findings in medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry research. The journal will be published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
The journal’s focus includes current developments in:

- Artificial intelligence (AI) use for drug design
- Enzymology
- G-protein coupled receptors in drug design
- Ionic channels for drug discovery
- Chemical biology, crystallography and CryoEM
- Pharmacology leading to drug design
- Molecular recognition processes
- Distribution and metabolism of biologically active compounds
- Microbiology and antiinfective drug discovery
- DNA and RNA targeting drugs
- Antibody-drug conjugates
- Special attention will be given to the following aspects
- Structure – activity relationship for classes of drugs
- Enzyme kinetics, activation and inhibition/inactivation mechanisms
- Structure-activity relationships (QSAR, graphic techniques)
- Computer-based, AI Drug development studies
- Control mechanisms in metabolic processes connected with the action of drugs
- Side effects of drugs useful to drug design purposes
