Aims & Scope

Aim:

Advanced Battery Materials (ABM) is a gold open-access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish original, high quality, and cutting edge research papers and review artciles, as well as perspectives and viewpoints on the fundamentals and applications of battery materials. It encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies with a focus on the latest development and innovations in all sorts of battery materials, including but not limited to, active electrode materials, electrolytes, separators, current collectors, and so on. It provides a platform for materials scienctists, physists, chemists and engineers to share their most recent results in all the aspects of battery materials, i.e., from the fundamental understanding in materials science and electrochemistry to the development in novel battery technologies. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope:

Advanced Battery Materials (ABM) cover a broad and comprehensive range of the materials science and technologies for all sorts of primary and secondary batteries.

It includes, but not limited to, the following topics.

  • Advanced processing techniques of batteries materials.
  • Novel concepts or design strategies of battery materials.
  • Advanced manufacturing and design of battery cells and packs.
  • Fundamental studies on electrochemistry and materials science of battery materials.
  • Advanced characterizations on battery materials and cells, especially those under in situ, operando and environmental conditions.
  • Novel battery systems (hybrid, organic, multi-ion, metal, air, all-solid-state, etc.).
  • Modelling and simulations of batteries materials (density functional theory calculation, molecular dynamics simulations, machine learning, etc.).
  • Recycling of spent battery materials.
  • Novel applications of batteries (flexible, wearable, seawater, deep space, etc.).
  • Novel diagnostic techniques on battery cells and lifetime prediction with AI technology.
